On October 25th over 60 builders, suppliers and concerned members voiced their options of the plan, which would drastically increase the cost of building a new home in Springdale. The National Vinyl Siding Institute gave a presentation, and attorneys from the National Association of Home Builders were in attendance as well. If the proposed plan passes, it will mean higher building costs for local builders and will leave less money for interior features. It will also limit homeowners’ potential by “pricing them out” of the market.
Citizens of Springdale, builders, suppliers, trades people and potential home buyers in Northwest Arkansas are encouraged to email the planning commission to voice your concerns.
